With one eye looking to the past and the other to the future, I have fallen more times than I care to admit, but luckily I have found the ground beneath my feet to be an inspiring place. The world of asphalt has informed my works, which search for meaning, contradictions, beauty, and destruction inherent with our sordid relationship with the city.
I have a (relatively) formal education based on the intersection of fine arts, architecture, spatial design, performance & queer theory. The cherry on top of this scholastic sundae takes the form of a PhD Cum Laude in Design from BAU College of Art & Design/Universitat de Vic for my thesis "Trouble-making Place-making: Dissident Bodies, Deviant Acts, and the Queer Art of Undefining Urbanism".
Born outside of Philadelphia, I have lived, laughed, loved, and lost, in Harrisburg, New York, Vienna, Linz, Porto, Valparaiso, São Paulo, Prishtina, Durrës, and Barcelona. Perhaps coming to a port near you.
